About the Instructor
Anna Touchstone
Anna began playing the violin at nearly 6 years old. Around age 15, she began playing in a touring violin group that performed choreographed shows across the country and world. Around the same time, she started teaching violin, and she also began winning top spots in Tennessee’s All-State orchestra. She studied violin at Lipscomb University, earning a BA in Music in 2024. While there, she performed in the university’s piano trio and string quartet, and she was concertmaster of the orchestra. She also played fiddle with a touring band while in college, and she has recorded violin parts for several artists.
Anna has earned teaching certifications from the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Violin Books 1-4, and she consistently furthers her knowledge of the art of teaching violin. Anna is passionate about helping her students become well-rounded, accomplished violinists who find joy and fulfillment in making music. She seeks to tailor lessons to each student’s specific needs and goals, and she loves watching her students grow.
